Prior to co-founding Solamere, Tagg held a number of senior operating and investing roles. He served as Chief Marketing Officer for the Los Angeles Dodgers, VP of Onfield Marketing and Head of Strategic Planning for Reebok, and Director of Strategic Planning and Finance for Elan Pharmaceuticals. Tagg worked as a management consultant for both McKinsey & Company and The Monitor Group. Tagg was also a successful entrepreneur, founding and selling a sports-related SaaS firm.
Tagg earned his B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
CloseEric Scheuermann
Eric has 24 years of experience leading direct private equity investments. He has overseen investments and acquisitions of over 100 companies, and has served on numerous Boards of Directors. Prior to founding Solamere in 2008, he was a Partner at Jupiter Partners. As partner, he sourced, led and served on the Board of three investment platforms that generated an 8.5x return on invested capital, which is fully realized.
Prior to becoming a principal investor, Eric was an Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company. He worked with a number of private equity firms on their investments - helping to conduct due diligence on potential acquisitions, and also helping with strategy and growth initiatives at their portfolio companies.
Prior to joining McKinsey, he was a private equity attorney at Latham & Watkins, where he represented The Carlyle Group, The Blackstone Group and other private equity funds in numerous acquisitions, sales, recapitalizations, bank loans and credit facilities, high yield issuances, and IPOs and other capital market transactions.
Prior to Latham & Watkins, Eric was selected as one of three law clerks to Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist of the U.S. Supreme Court (1991-92), and as one of three law clerks to Chief Judge J. Clifford Wallace of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (1990-91).
He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was an Editor of the Harvard Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude and Valedictorian of the undergraduate College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the Bars of the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania.
CloseSpencer Zwick
Spencer has spent over a decade building the Solamere Network while working in the public and private sectors. Spencer previously served as the National Finance Chairman and Senior Advisor for the 2008 and 2012 Mitt Romney presidential campaigns. Likewise, he served as the National Finance Chairman for Speaker Paul Ryan. Spencer previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff and COO in the Office of Governor Mitt Romney in Massachusetts. Spencer also worked in the Executive Office of the Salt Lake City Olympic Organizing Committee for the Winter Games of 2002.
Spencer is a current member of the Brigham and Women's Hospital Campaign Cabinet Board, and serves on the board of the Lupus Research Alliance.
Having spent many years growing up outside the United States, Spencer is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and Thai. Spencer studied Economics and International Studies at Brigham Young University.
ClosePaul Ryan
Paul Ryan was the 54th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. In office from October 2015 to January 2019, he was the youngest speaker in nearly 150 years.
During his tenure as Speaker, Ryan spearheaded efforts to reform our nation's tax code, rebuild our national defense, expand domestic energy production, combat the opioid epidemic, reform our criminal justice system, and promote economic opportunity.
As chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee he worked to protect health care choices, advance free trade, and strengthen the economy. Before that, Ryan served as chairman of the House Budget Committee where he outlined revolutionary blueprints to balance the federal budget and pay off the national debt.
In 2012, he was selected to serve as Governor Mitt Romney's Vice-Presidential nominee. Ryan was first elected to Congress at age 28 and represented Wisconsin's First District for two decades.
In 2019, Ryan launched the American Idea Foundation, a non-partisan, not for profit organization that expands economic opportunity by partnering with local organizations and academics to advance evidence-based public policies.
In 2020, Ryan was named as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Executive Network Partnering Corporation and in 2021, he was named as a Partner at Solamere Capital. In 2022, Ryan was named Vice Chairman of Teneo, a global management consulting company.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fox Corporation, of SHINE Medical Technologies LLC, and of Xactus. Ryan also serves on the Advisory Board of Robert Bosch GmbH.
He is a Professor of the Practice at the University of Notre Dame and a visiting fellow in the practice of public policy at the American Enterprise Institute. Ryan serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute and on the Board of Directors for the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Paul and his wife Janna have three children: Liza, Charlie, and Sam. He holds a degree in economics and political science from Miami University in Ohio and was also awarded an honorary doctorate by the University.

Vaibhav Saraiya joined Solamere Capital in 2014 and has over 15 years of direct private equity investing experience. He is responsible for originating, evaluating, and adding value to Solamere's investments.
Prior to joining Solamere, Vaibhav was Senior Vice President at Two Sigma, where he evaluated and executed private equity, niche credit, and other illiquid investments. Previously, Vaibhav worked at Apax Partners, a global private equity firm, and Jupiter Partners, where he evaluated and executed their investment in Vivint. Vaibhav started his career at Bain & Company where he consulted for private equity and corporate clients.
Vaibhav graduated cum laude from the dual degree program at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in finance and engineering (BSE, BAS). Vaibhav also received his MBA with Honors (Palmer Scholar) from the Wharton School.

Scott Hutchins joined Solamere Capital in 2014 and has over 15 years of private equity experience investing in domestic and international venture capital and leveraged buyout limited partnerships and co-investments. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and adding value to Solamere's funds, co-investments and direct deals in partnership with our broad sponsor relationships, connecting our deep network of industry executives to our sponsor partners to help drive additional value in our portfolio.
Prior to joining Solamere, Scott was Senior Investment Officer at Mass PRIM, Massachusetts' $75 billion pension system running the firms private equity program. Prior to Mass PRIM, Scott worked on the Private Equity team at Liberty Mutual Asset Management where he was focused on venture capital funds, leveraged buyout funds and co-investments.
Scott graduated from Babson College.

Rob joined Solamere Capital as a Principal in 2019 and has over 10 years of direct private equity investing experience. He is responsible for originating, evaluating, and adding value to our investments.
Prior to joining Solamere, Rob was a Vice President at Olympus Partners and an Associate at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, both middle market private equity firms. Rob began his career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley where he focused on M&A transactions.
Rob graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Economics from Duke University and earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bill joined Solamere Capital as a Vice President in 2020. He is responsible for Solamere's deal sourcing activities.
Prior to joining Solamere, Bill served as Vice President of Sales at the Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) in New York. While at GLG Bill was responsible for delivering GLG's full suite of proprietary consulting solutions to more than 400 private equity clients.
Prior to GLG, Bill spent 7 years in Institutional Sales at BlackRock in New York working with the firm's largest insurance clients. A lifetime entrepreneur, he started his first business at age 11, a successful landscaping and construction firm that was sold 15 years later.
Bill graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Finance. He lives with his wife and son in Boston's Back Bay.

Prior to joining Solamere Capital, Luke worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley's Mergers & Acquisitions and Consumer Retail Group in Chicago. While there, Luke advised clients in the industrials and consumer retail sectors on M&A transactions, activist defense, debt financings, and equity offerings.
Luke received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated cum laude.

Will joined Solamere Capital as the Head of Capital Formation in 2022. He is responsible for Solamere's capital raising activities and partners closely with the firm's LPs.
Prior to joining Solamere, Will was a Vice President of BlackRock's Family Office and Institutional Client Business in New York, responsible for new business development and capital raising across the firm's private and public market investments. Primarily partnering with Family Offices across the United States, he also spent time partnering with Endowments, Foundations, Pensions, Insurers, and UHNW Investors. Previously he spent time based in Toronto to grow the firm's institutional relationships and presence across Canada, notably the growth of the firm's Family Office business.
Will graduated from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University in Canada with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a focus on Finance and Economics. He currently resides in New York City.

Jim joined Solamere Capital in November 2013 as Controller and Vice President. He assumed responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer in 2015.
From 2010 to 2013, he was the Fund Controller of Bain & Company's Global Investments Group, where he managed the operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance of the private equity fund-of-fund and co-invest partnerships. Jim started his career with KPMG in 2004, working in their Boston and New York offices, as a Manager in their Alternative Investments audit practice.
Jim is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and New York; he graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a B.S. in Management.
Jim lives in the South End of Boston.

Devon joined Solamere Capital in 2020. She is responsible for supporting the Finance team.
Prior to joining Solamere, Devon was a Senior at Deloitte & Touche, LLP within their Audit and Assurance practice. Her client portfolio comprised of Public and Private Financial Service Industry leaders, with a focus in Private Equity.
Devon graduated cum laude with a BS in Finance and Accounting from Villanova University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.

Prior to joining Solamere, Tyler worked at Abry Partners, where he helped manage the financial reporting activities for the Flagship, Senior Equity, and Co-Investment partnerships. He started his career with EY in their Wealth and Asset Management audit practice.
Tyler graduated with a BS in Economics from Holy Cross and earned an MS in Accountancy from Northeastern University. Tyler is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.

Prior to Solamere, Charleen worked as an Executive Assistant at Bain Capital, Cherry Lane Capital Advisors and as an Office Manager at Farallon Capital Management. She began her career in investment firms at Narragansett Asset Management and held a previous administrative role at Fordham Development and University Relations.
Charleen graduated summa cum laude with a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology from Fordham University. She is a Notary Public and a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP-OM): International Association of Administrative Professionals [IAAP].
